In the ongoing T20 World Cup, Pakistan have lost their first two matches to India and Zimbabwe respectively. However, they bounced back against the Netherlands and won the match.

Former India batter Gautam Gambhir was disappointed with Babar Azam’s leadership skills. He felt Babar should have put the team’s needs first, as he could have sent Zaman to start the proceedings instead of himself.

"In my opinion, first, you think about your team instead of yourself; if nothing goes according to your plan, you should have sent Fakhar Zaman up the batting order. This is called selfishness; as a captain, it is easy to be selfish. It is easy for Babar and Rizwan to open the innings for Pakistan and create so many records. If you want to be a leader, you have to think about your team," Gambhir said during commentary by Cricket Pakistan.

Earlier, former Pakistan bowler Shoaib Akhtar commented on India’s game and said on his YouTube channel, "India ne marwa diya humein (India have nearly ended our chances) by losing to South Africa. Not India's fault though, Pakistan played so badly. We left this thing to others. I was wishing and hoping, India would come strong and hard. This goes to show that when you are against a quality bowling attack, the condition of the subcontinent teams come out in the open”.

Pakistan will be playing against South Africa on Thursday.
