It is not a hidden fact that India is a cricket loving nation and by what happened during the first day of the opening Test match in India vs West Indies at Rajkot, it seems that the fans too never disappoint when it comes to expressing their love for not only the game but also their idols.

During the third session of the opening game, in attempt to get a selfie, two fans came running onto the field. Security was caught unawares before they took the duo off. However, this crazy gesture paid them off as the duo was able to get a selfie with skipper Virat Kohli, before getting escorted off the ground.

Meanwhile, Prithvi Shaw set a plethora of records on his debut outing for India in whites. In the morning session, he became the youngest Indian batsman to get a fifty on Test debut. After lunch, he joined the club of batsmen to have scored a century on debut, at the 15th number.

When asked about his ton Shaw said,” Feeling really good now, after the hundred. I was a bit nervous to start off but when I got in, I got comfortable. I just tried to play my natural game. I was just thinking that it's another game for me and then it just happened. I played the balls on merit and kept going from there on. I was thinking about my Dad, as he has sacrificed a lot for me. First hundred, it's all for him. Playing for India, it was a big thing for me.”

India reached 364 for 4 at the end of Test match for day 1 at the Saurashtra Cricket Stadium, Rajkot.
