Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Tuesday (July 30) announced its 16-member squad for IND vs SL ODI series against India. Following his appointment as captain in T20Is, Charith Asalanka has also been given the opportunity to lead Sri Lanka in the One-Day Internationals.


Young spinner Dunith Wellalage and all-rounder Janith Liyanage have been included in the squad, along with spin-allrounder Akila Dhananjaya. Lankan pacers Dushmantha Chameera and Nuwan Thushara have not yet recovered and remain out of ODI series. The pace attack will be led by young pacers Matisha Patirana and Dilshan Madushanka.


The ODI series between India and Sri Lanka will begin on August 2. The second ODI will take place on August 4, followed by the third and final ODI on August 7. All three IND vs SL ODI matches will be held in Colombo. Team India will feature players such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Kuldeep Yadav in the series.






India is currently engaged in a three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. So far, India has won the first two T20 matches. In the first match, Sri Lanka was defeated by 43 runs, and in the second match, India won by 7 wickets. The third and final T20I is being played today (July 30), but with India leading the series 2-0 under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, the series is already secured.
