Legendary Australian spin bowler Shane Warne, who passed away tragically on March 4 last year, has left behind majority of his nearly 120-Crore property to his three children. The same was revealed after his last will was released by the Supreme Court in Victoria on Wednesday.
Other than his children, Warne's brother Jason will receive two per cent of the fortune that the ex-cricketer leaves behind while his niece and nephew Tyla and Sebastian are set to get two-and-a-half per cent each.
As per a report carried by The Herald Son, Warne willed that his son Jackson gets his vehicle collection worth over 3 crore. However, the second highest wicket-taker in Test cricket's history did not leave anything to Simone Callahan, his ex-wife and the mother of his three-children or Liz Hurley, his former-fiancee.
Warner was the owner of a $6.5m home in Portsea while he had another $2m worth of personal belongings which included a fancy jet ski. In addition, the bowler who is said to have delivered the bowl of the century to England's Mike Gatting in 1993, also had $5m in his Australian bank account and another $500,000 in a separate account. He had shares worth a valuation of $3m.
It is further being reported that with Warne's will being granted a probate this week, his executors will now be free to divide his property between the beneficiaries.
The cricketing legend had died aged 52 after suffering a massive cardiac arrest while vacationing in Thailand. The news stunned the cricket world who had lost one of its legend and still had plenty to offer in different capacities.
Warne represented Australia in 145 Tests and 194 ODIs taking 708 and 293 wickets in them respectively, taking his overall wickets tally in international cricket past the 1000 mark.
Over 50,000 people attended the state funeral of Warne at Melbourne Cricket Ground- a venue which came to be recognised as his home ground as he was a Victorian lad.
