The BCCI has made it clear that they are willing to give youngsters opportunities to showcase their talent, in order to get the right combinations with the World T20I coming up, next year in Australia. Skipper Virat Kohli tried out the likes of Rahul Chahar and Washington Sundar in the ongoing T20 series vs South Africa. Both bowlers provided the team with crucial breakthroughs when required. While Washington fared well, Chahar picked two wickets, conceding 22 runs from his stipulated 4-over spell.

India opening star batsman Shikhar Dhawan has revealed that the senior members in the team keep discussing strategies with the new boys and ensure there's good communication among them both on and off the field to help youngsters gain confidence.

"For senior players like us, say someone like Rishabh (Pant) comes in to bat or Shreyas (Iyer) coming in, we make sure we do the communication with them and make sure they are comfortable and not nervous. We make them think what is needed at that particular moment," he said on the eve of the third T20I between India and South Africa at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

"That's what we do even when I am batting with Rohit (Sharma) or Virat (Kohli), we keep discussing and that is very important. Communication is very, very important. Any time any youngster wants to discuss something with us, we are always there for them," he pointed.

Young Indian bowlers Washington Sundar and Rahul Chahar impressed everyone in the second T20I and Dhawan believes such performances will help new boys gain confidence ahead of the World T20, next year.

"Washington is bowling really good, giving us the breakthroughs and also choking the batsmen. He has got very good control and variety as well. Even Deepak Chahar, he swings the ball both ways and at the same has pace as well. It is the perfect platform for them to perform and build the confidence for the T20 World Cup," he explained.

India and South Africa will lock horns in the final T20I to be played on Sunday at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
