Mumbai, the domestic stalwarts once again have shown why they are considered as domestic giants. They outplayed Himachal Pradesh by three wickets and won the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy in Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Mumbai bowlers performed brilliantly as spinner Tanush Kotain and pacer  Mohit Avasthi scalped three wickets each and restricted Himachal Pradesh to just 143 runs.

In reply to that, Mumbai had suffered early breakthroughs but Sarfaraz Khan once again showed why he is rated so highly. He scored a 36-run cameo off 31 balls to help his side cross the line.

Mumbai under the captaincy of Ajinkya Rahane has won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for the first time.
