India's cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar returned to the cricket field as he took part in the One World One Family Cup Charity match on Thursday (January 18) at the Sai Krishnan Cricket Stadium in Sathya Sai Grama, Bengaluru. Tendulkar was the captain of the One World Team which consisted of legends like Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan. While it was a heartwarming scene for all the cricket fans, the moment was also an emotional one for Sachin's daughter Sara who shared an Instagram story from Sachin's innings in the match, marking his return on the cricket field.
Sara uploaded a short little video of Tendulkar enjoying himself on the ground writing the word 'Nostalgia' with a sad emoji on it.

Tendulkar's Team Emerges Victorious
Notably, the charity fixture was organised by the Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission. The main objective of the match was to promote awareness about child healthcare. It happened to be the first-ever match at the newly constructed venue. Tendulkar's team One World eventually ended up beating their opponents One Family by four wickets.
Talking about Tendulkar's personal contribution with the bat, the leading run-scorer in international cricket came out to open the batting and scored 27 off 16 balls, a knock studded by 3 fours and 1 six. The legendary India batter was looking in fine nick until he was removed by Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan who removed him off the first ball of his spell. Quite chracterestic of the leading wicket-taker in international cricket, the off-spinner tempted the Indian batter to go for the big shot, enticing him to play a false stroke which led to his departure.
Mohammad Kaif, once Tendulkar's India teammate, was stationed at long on and compled the catch that got the better of Tendulkar, bringing an end to his innings and scripting yet another chapter in their glorious rivalry.
