Indian captain Virat Kohli caused a typhoon in Vishakhapatnam while batting against West Indies in the 2nd ODI on Wednesday. He came to anchor the innings after an early departure of both the openers. And within no time, he once again proved that why is he considered as the G.O.A.T of international cricket.
Surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s record, Kohli became the fastest batsmen to score 10,000 runs in ODI cricket. The milestone which Sachin reached in 259 innings, Kohli got there in just 205. A few minutes later to this marvel, he became the 2nd batsman after Jonny Bairstow to complete 1000 ODI runs in 2018.
Kohli’s fireworks stopped with India amassing 322 in the first innings. He remained unbeaten on 157, which included 13 fours and 4 sixes.
While Kohli was busy destroying the economy rates of the West Indies bowlers, social media got flooded with reactions from fans and people from the cricketing fraternity. In fact, the God of cricket himself showed up to shower his love on his disciple and asked him to keep run flow on.
