Ex-India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, arguably the greatest batter in the history of sport, turned 50 on Monday (April 24), 2023. The Mumbai-born cricketing great took to Twitter to upload a couple of pictures with a caption "50 Not Out!", sharing a glimpse of how he is celebrating his 50th birthday. In the pictures, Tendulkar can be seen enjoying a cup of tea by a poolside. The legendary cricketer is currently acting as mentor of five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) winners Mumbai Indians (MI) in the ongoing IPL 2023.

After retiring from international cricket, Sachin Tendulkar never joined team India again in any other role. Recently, Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun Tendulkar made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians.






Sachin Tendulkar is the only batsman in history to have scored more than 50 centuries in Test cricket. The batting legend scored 51 tons and 68 fifties in 329 innings of 200 Test matches of his career. Sachin started his cricket career at the age of only 16, making his debut for the national team in 1989 against Pakistan.


Sachin Tendulkar is the only batsman in the world so far who has scored 100 centuries in international cricket. Virat Kohli is widely regarded as someone who might break Sachin's long standing record.

On the occasion of Sachin's 50th birthday, a gate named after him was unveiled at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Monday. Tendulkar had named SCG as his favorite cricket ground outside India.
