In a testimony to his remarkable prowess of big hitting and clean striking of the cricket ball, Indian cricket stalwart Rohit Sharma has carved his name in the record books. During the ICC World Cup 2023 clash against Afghanistan in Delhi, Rohit Sharma surpassed the legendary West Indies batsman, Chris Gayle, to become the player with the most international sixes across all cricket formats.

Chris Gayle, known for his explosive batting, had previously held the record with an impressive tally of 553 sixes, achieved in 551 innings. Rohit Sharma, with his exceptional prowess, achieved this feat in just 473 innings. While he currently ranks third in the One Day Internationals (ODIs) sixes list, trailing behind Shahid Afridi and Gayle, Rohit Sharma reigns supreme in the T20 Internationals (T20Is) format, where he boasts 182 sixes from 140 innings.
