Team India are currently in the middle of a T20I series against Afghanistan. The series is an important one from the perspective of the T20 World Cup 2024 set to be played in June. The IND vs AFG T20I series is India's final assignment in this format ahead of the marquee International Cricket Council (ICC) event this year. Having said that, India have already taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match bilateral series.

Although India captain Rohit Sharma is yet to score a run in this series, having got out for ducks in each of the two innings he has played so far in this series, a gesture of him for one of his fans is making all the noise. Notably, India's famous dancing traffic cop Ranjeet Singh who is also known as the 'Traffic Singham' for his unique style of ensuring smooth flow of traffic in one of the busiest streets of Madhya Pradesh's financial capital happens to be a fan of the Indian captain.

Traffic Cop Had Requested Rohit For Autograph During Cricketer's Last Visit To Indore

While Singh had requested Rohit for his autograph the last time he visited Indore, the policeman was unable to collect it from him owing to his duties. However, Rohit, who is infamous for forgetting things, seemed to have remembered Ranjeet and made sure he got a note written and signed by him delivered to the cop this time around.

"When the Indian team came to Indore last time, I met the Indian captain Rohit Sharma. I asked him for an autograph but due to duty I could not take it from him but the captain remembered this thing," Ranjeet wrote on his Facebook in Hindi (translated by Google).

"This time while leaving he was with the Indian team. He wrote down his autograph and his feelings and love for me in words to the bus driver sir and gave it to the driver sir and then delivered it to crazy man Ranjeet," he added.

"Captain sir, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love.. A player does not become great just by playing, but it is his thinking that makes him great," Ranjeet concluded.

India will play the final match of the T20I series against Afghanistan at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
