The fourth Test of IND vs AUS Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia is underway in Melbourne, with Australia opting to bat first after winning the toss.

The battle between Australian batters and Indian bowlers is heating up, with both sides making life difficult for each other, but the spotlight briefly shifted to an on-field incident involving captain Rohit Sharma and young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal. The interaction, caught on the stump mic, has since gone viral on social media.

During Australia's innings, as Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne steadied the innings, Rohit positioned Jaiswal close to the bat to field with spin bowler on the attack. However, Jaiswal's overly eager movements, jumping before the ball was played, prompted Rohit to scold him, saying, "Oye Jassu, Gully cricket khel rha hai kya? Tab tak mat uth jab tak ball khel na le (Hey Jassu, are you playing street cricket? Don't get up until the batsman plays.)" The sharp rebuke, captured on the stump mic, has gone viral online.

Rohit's intent behind placing Jaiswal closer to the batter was to increase catching opportunities, a common tactic against spin bowling.
