Out-of-favor wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant, who turned 22 on Friday, had an amazing birthday celebration in the Indian dressing room. The Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) took to Instagram to post inside pictures of Pant's 'unforgettable birthday celebration'.

The 22-year-old is not having the best of time in his career as he was not named in India's playing XI for first Test vs Proteas after Virat Kohli announced that another wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha will keep wickets.

Pant has represented India in 43 matches across formats, and already has Test hundreds in England and Australia but has been under scanner for his dismal performance with the bat in recent games.

BCCI uploaded the birthday post which read: “Happy birthday @rishabpant.”

Meanwhile, BCCI has decided to train Pant under former India selector Kiran More to fine-tune his skills against the turning ball on Indian tracks.

“There isn't anything to read into the move and the team feels that Pant just needs to fine-tune his keeping skills a bit when it comes to Indian conditions in red-ball cricket and that is why he has been working with More on those aspects,” IANS quoted a source from Indian team management as saying.
