India’s star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, who is currently recuperating at the National Cricket Academy from a lethal car crash is making a speedy recovery. Pant met with a serious car accident back in  December 2022 where he sustained multiple injuries. Pant has updated his fans about his recovery process with frequent workout videos. The stylish player previously also batted in a friendly game on India’s Independence Day.

Pant’s latest video is making rounds on social media as the 25-year-old player can be spotted doing workout drills with his trainer at the NCA. Seeing Pant’s latest video, fans are elated and are desperately waiting to see the Delhi-based batter in action soon. Pant luckily managed to survive a deadly car accident when his car crashed with a divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. The left-hand batter suffered many serious injuries and also underwent surgery on his knee.

Last month, the BCCI also came up with an update on Pant’s fitness. “He (Pant) has made significant progress in his rehabilitation and has commenced batting as well as keeping in the nets.

“He is currently following a fitness programme designed for him which includes strength, flexibility and running,” BCCI had said in a statement.

Earlier, Pant also met his Indian teammates at their practice camp in Alur, Bengaluru in Karnataka ahead of Asia Cup 2023. The Indian team is currently taking part in the Asia Cup 2023 where they are playing against Nepal in the second game on Monday. During their opening game of the tournament, they locked horns with Pakistan but after the first innings, the match was called off due to heavy rain.
