India vs England 1st ODI was a successful outing for the home team. India won the match by 66 runs. After winning the first match, Indian team looks to be in a relaxing mode. There are a couple of days off before the start of the 2nd ODI, which perhaps has prompted the entire team to celebrate the success of the team off late.
Rishabh Pant shared an image on his Twitter account in which he is seen lunching along with Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Shardul Thakur, Yuzvendra Chahal, coach Ravi Shastri, Vikram Rathour and other members from the support staff. Pant wrote: “The team that enjoys together, wins together! Great to get together with the team for some fun in the sun. @BCCI”
‘Where Is Your Loyalty?’
In the group picture, Rishabh Pant is seen wearing a jersey of Liverpool Football Club. Twitteratis were quick to question Pant of his loyalties as previously the wicket-keeper batsman was seen wearing a Manchester United jersey. Both these teams; Manchester United and Liverpool are rivals in English football, and so are their fans. Thus, Rishabh irked a lot of Indian football fans of ManU and Liverpool by putting on both the jerseys. Here are the fans complaining about Pant's "changing loyalties".
Even though Rishabh wasn’t a part of the ODI team on Tuesday, his contribution throughout the Australian summer and also against England in the Test and T20I series has been commendable. Pant has improved leaps and bounces in terms of his attacking ability and also wicket-keeping ability.
Team India seems to be in a jovial mood as the long tour of England is coming to an end.
