IND vs BAN 2nd Test: Day 1 Weather Update

Accuweather.com reports that rain could disrupt the start of Day 1's play of IND vs BAN 2nd Test. Kanpur is expected to experience a 93 percent chance of rain on September 27, with an 80 percent likelihood of rain on Day 2. Even Day 3 (Sunday) is expected to be affected by rain interruptions with 56 percent chance of rain on that day. Although the sky may clear on the fourth and fifth days, the ground staff will have a difficult job drying the field after rain on the first three days.

Hosts India took a 1-0 series lead in IND vs BAN Tests after securing a thumping 280-run win in IND vs BAN Chennai Test. Even if the second Test between India and Bangladesh gets called off due to rain, ending in a draw, India will wrap up the series 1-0.

The cancellation of IND vs BAN Kanpur Test would be a major setback for Bangladesh regarding the World Test Championship. It would also be disappointing for India, as securing a 2-0 series win by winning the second Test could have provided them with crucial points in the WTC standings.
