Ravichandran Ashwin is one of the greatest spinners of all time, especially in the red ball format. Over the years, he has been one of the biggest match winners of India across formats. The Indian team started their  2023-2025 cycle of the World Test Championship by defeating West Indies 1-0 in a two-match Test series last month where Ashwin played a crucial role.

Recently, the veteran Indian spinner paid a visit to Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium in Chennai to watch the Hockey clash between India and Pakistan in the Asian Champions Trophy. Just ahead of the game, Ashwin was spotted standing with the players of both teams and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin during the national anthems.

The Tamil Nadu-based player wished players of both teams to do well. Just after the match started, the legendary cricketer was seen encouraging the Indian team while cheering for them from the stands.

Talking about the game, the Indian team dominated the game and clinched 4-0 to oust Pakistan from the tournament. Moments after the match ended, Ashwin was spotted having a conversation with goalkeeper PR Sreejesh. The two greats of India hugged each other avert finishing their chat and that made for a heartwarming visual.

"It was a great gesture from him. He is a legend, a senior player, current international team member, and still, he recognised me. He came to say hi. It's something I can cherish for my lifetime as nobody does that. Seriously," Sreejesh was quoted as saying by Times Now.

It always looks great to see athletes from one sport supporting players from another sport. Earlier, India’s star batter Shreyas Iyer was seen at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru where he was spotted cheering for the Indian football team during their SAFF Championship 2023 semifinal against Lebanon. He again paid a visit to the same stadium to witness the finals and India played well and win the game against Kuwait in a thrilling penalty shootout. Deepak Chahar was also seen cheering alongside Shreyas.
