Essex skipper Ryan ten Doeschate has been suspended by ECB's Cricket Disciplinary Committee (CDC) for two matches after he was found guilty of violating a Level 1 Directive in a match against Lancashire.

The 37-year-old was held responsible for "willfully mistreating any part of the cricket ground, equipment or implements used in the match, and using language that in the circumstances, is obscene, offensive or insulting."

Since this is the second accusation against him in two years, he had to be suspended.

Following the suspension, the skipper will not be able to take part in the Royal London One-Day Cup play-off against Yorkshire on Thursday.

The right-hand batsman will also miss the semi-final clash, if Essex qualify in the final four. However, if they fail to qualify, he will definitely miss the game against Nottinghamshire on June 20.
