Former English batsman Kevin Pietersen has come up with an idea to resolve the ongoing turmoil in Cricket South Africa (CSA). Born in South Africa, Pietersen said that former Proteas skipper Graeme Smith should be the director of cricket while former wicketkeeper-batsman Mark Boucher can be the head coach.

He suggested in his tweet to make former fast bowler Makhaya Ntini the bowling coach, former all-rounder Robin Peterson the spin coach, all-round great Jacques Kallis the team consultant and Jacques Kaul, the chief executive of domestic franchise Titans, as Cricket South Africa CEO.

Cricket South Africa has been dealing with a host of issues that have paralysed administration over the past six months. In the latest development, the team's leading sponsor, Standard Bank, said that it won't be renewing its contract, which ends on April 30 next year, in light of the recent turmoil.

Meanwhile, Smith confirmed being in discussions again with CSA to be their new Director of Cricket. The most successful Test captain in cricket history with 53 wins, had been encouraged to apply by embattled CSA CEO Thabang Moroe as the organization seeks a long-term replacement for Ottis Gibson, whose contract wasn’t renewed after a dismal World Cup in England.
