Pakistan is set to tour England next year to take part in a  four-match T20 series in order to prepare themselves for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the United States and the West Indies. The Pakistan Cricket Board stated that apart from the men’s team, the national women’s squad will also be going to England in May next year to play three T20Is and three ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25 fixtures.

Pakistan men’s team will also participate in three T20 internationals in the Netherlands and an identical series against Ireland before they land in England. Earlier, Pakistan were outplayed by England in the final of the last  T20 World Cup while they also reached the semi-finals of the 2021 World Cup where they lost to Australia.

The matches against the English side will be held at  Leeds (May 22), Birmingham (May 25), Cardiff (May 28), and The Oval in London (May 30). England is at second position in the ICC T20I team rankings, while Pakistan is at fourth.

The women’s team of Pakistan will begin by playing the first T20I in Birmingham on May 11 with the remaining two matches in Northampton (May 17) and Leeds (May 19). Derby, Taunton, and Chelmsford will be hosting the three ODIs on May 23, 26 and 29 respectively. England is participating in the ongoing Ashes 2023 series against Australia where they lost two back-to-back Test matches. Australia won the 2nd Test at Lord's by 43 runs and have ripped off England’s bazball approach. However, Ben Stokes, skipper of England did put up a solid fight as he smashed 155 runs off 214 balls but then it was not enough to outplay the Kangaroos. The Three Lions lost the plot completely after their captain Stokes got dismissed after making his 13th Test century.
