Karachi: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has agreed to the date change proposal by the Interanational Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for two of its matches. While India and Pakistan were originally supposed to meet on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, security agencies suggested the BCCI to change the date to avoid the clash with the start of Navaratri which is a popular festival in Gujarat. Consequently, the India vs Pakistan match will now be played on October 14.

Since there was already frenzied hotel bookings and surge in prices for hospitality and flights, the rescheduled match could now lead to a few cancellations. Domestic travellers who were mulling to land on the eve or the day of the match will be among those hit by the change.
