The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 highlights the incredible strength and depth of the Indian cricket team when a player of Suryakumar Yadav's talent and caliber has yet to make an appearance in the tournament. With Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, and Hardik Pandya forming a formidable middle order, Suryakumar Yadav has patiently waited on the bench.

Despite his role as just a substitute fielder, Suryakumar Yadav has actively contributed to the team's affairs. During the India-Australia game in Chennai, a viral clip showed the 32-year-old enjoying a meal in the dugout, and his reaction upon spotting the camera brought entertainment to social media.

While most fans embraced the clip in a positive spirit, one fan replied to Suryakumar's post on X (formerly known as Twitter) and poked fun at him for eating on the bench.

“Sir dugout mein baithke kya khate rehto ho, ground par jaake do chaar 6 maarke aao”, the user commented tagging the viral video of Suryakumar Yadav.

Suryakumar gave a fitting response with a humorous seven-word post to playfully tease the troll, which quickly went viral on social media.

"Order mereko nahi Swiggy pe de bhai," Suryakumar humorously replied.

Suryakumar Yadav, the top-ranked T20I batsman in the world, has excelled in the shortest format globally, with three centuries in the last 15 months. However, he has yet to replicate this success in ODI cricket, with a record of 667 runs in 30 innings and an average of 27.8. Nonetheless, he regained his form with two half-centuries in the three-match series against Australia before the World Cup.

India's World Cup campaign has begun impressively, with a six-wicket victory over Australia, followed by an eight-wicket win against Afghanistan and a comprehensive seven-wicket triumph against arch-rivals Pakistan. India currently leads the table with three wins in as many games.

The Men in Blue are set to lock horns with Bangladesh in their next fixture of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup on Thursday, October 19 at the MCA Stadium, Pune. They will look to continue their winning streak in the tournament and stay at the top of the table.
