Mohammed Siraj, the star India pacer, took a sensational one-handed catch to get rid of veteran Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan on Day 4 of the India vs Bangladesh Kanpur Test. Siraj, standing at the mid-off region, almost misjudged the catch trying to backpedal with the ball in air, but showed commendable athleticism to leap in the air backwards and take a one-handed stunner over his head. Interestingly, Siraj’s catch came after another spectacular catch, taken by the team India captain Rohit Sharma, also at mid-off, to dismiss Litton Das.

Bowling the final ball of his tenth over of the IND vs BAN Kanpur Test, Ravichandran Ashwin displayed his bowling astuteness by outthinking Shakib. Knowing that Shakib is going to come after him, Ashwin dragged his length back, luring the batter to step out of the pitch. Shakib fell for the trap and came down the pitch to play a lofted shot over the mid-off region. However, he got beaten by the flight of the ball and ended up miscuing the ball in the air.
