Mohammed Shami, India's pace bowling spearhead who is currently out of action after undergoing an ankle surgery, has sparked a new controversy by liking a tweet that seems to be taking a dig at Hardik Pandya without mentioning the name of the Baroda cricketer. The post on X which Shami has liked accuses the all-rounder cricketer of faking an injury to sit out of the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 in which India went unbeaten to the final before finishing as the runners-up.
"Hello everyone! I wanted to provide an update on my recovery progress. It has been 15 days since my surgery, and I recently had my stitches removed. I am thankful for the advancements I have achieved and looking forward to the next stage of my healing journey. 🙌," Shami had taken to social media to inform his fans. In the comment section of this post, a user with the handle @CtrlMemes_ posted a comment which praised Shami for playing through the World Cup despite having issues at the time of landing and shining through with 24 wickets from 7 matches at an average of 10.71.
"Shami bhai gave his 100 percent even when he was in pain during worldcup, then there is one chapri kalu who shown fake injury to keep himself available for IPL," says the comment which Shami has liked through his verified account.
