India's seam bowler Mohammed Shami on Sunday atttained another milestone in his Test career as he picked up his 150th scalp in the longer format of the game. The right arm speedster also became the third fastest Indian pacer to reach the 150-Test wicket landmark.

Shami bounced out debutant Rahkeem Cornwall for 14 on the fifth over of Day 3 to reach 150 wickets in his 42nd Test match, overtaking Zaheer Khan on the list.

Kapil Dev is the fastest among Indian fast bowles to complete 150 Test wickets. The Haryana Hurricane reached the landmark in just 39 matches followed by Javagal Srinath (40), Shami (42), Zaheer Khan (49) and Ishant Sharma (54).

Shami needed just two wickets from achieving the feat before the start of second Test match against West Indies. He had got the wicket of Shimron Hetmyer on Day 2. India bowled out the Windies for 117 in the first session on Day 3 to take a lead of 299 runs over the hosts.

The second Test at Jamaica will be etched in the minds of the Indian fans for a very long time as Jasprit Bumrah became only the third Indian bowler to take a hat-trick in Test cricket.

Meanwhile, Shami's pace partner Ishant also achieved a major milestone as he became the second-most successful bowler for India outside Asia with 156 Test wickets.
