Texas Super Kings could have become the third side today, but the 'invincible' Washington Freedom played the role of party-spoiler by handing the Faf Du Plessis-led side a thumping 42-run defeat.

"I'm just enjoying myself and expressing my game. I didn't expect to be here for two weeks. The support staff is excellent, and Smudge (Steve Smith) and Ferguson are brilliant-they keep backing me. The wicket was a bit too paced. Faf was going well, so going off-pace was probably the right call at that stage. I watched Lockie in the previous over, and Smudge made it clear to me," said Jasdeep Singh, who was awarded the MVP of the Match.
