Women’s Asia Cup T20’s leading wicket-taker Poonam Yadav moved to the 3rd spot in ICC's rankings for bowlers. She bagged 7 wickets at an economy rate of 3.76 in the tournament.


The 26-year-old is led by Australia’s Megan Schutt and New Zealand’s Leigh Kasperek who holds the first and second spot respectively. Yadav’s impressive 9/4 in the finals of the Asia Cup helped her to achieve this feat.


Indian skipper, Harmanpreet Kaur, was awarded the ‘Player of the Series’ for 156 runs in four innings with an average of 52, has been upgraded to the 7thposition from 8th in the list for top international batters in the shortest format.


She is led by veteran Mithali Raj with 584 points. New Zealand’s Suzie Bates holds the top spot in the rankings. Indian opener, Smriti Mandhana, despite slipping two spots, holds the 9th spot, making her the third Indian in the top 10.
