Uncapped Indian cricketers, Deepak Chahar and Krunal Pandya got their maiden Indian call-up for the upcoming T20I series against England starting from July 3.

On June 30, the Indian cricket team received a huge blow after speedster Jasprit Bumrah and all-rounder Washington Sundar were ruled out of the series after sustaining injuries. While Bumrah is expected to return in the ODIs, Sundar has been declared unfit for the entire limited-over series.

As per reports, the Indian selectors were quick to announce their replacements. While Chennai Super Kings pacer Deepak Chahar will replace Bumrah, the elder Pandya is set to replace Sundar, who will be later replaced by Axar Patel in the ODIs.

During the first Ireland T20I, Bumrah picked up an injury on his left thumb while Sundar hurt his ankle in the training session.

Both the uncapped players had a terrific IPL 2018 season which ensured their entries in the Indian A squad, currently playing in England.

Representing Mumbai Indians, Krunal played 14 matches and picked 12 wickets and scored 228 runs. On the other hand, Chahar was one of the leading CSK pacers who picked up 10 wickets in 12 matches.

If Krunal finds a place in the playing XI alongside Hardik, it will be the second pair of siblings after Irfan and Yusuf Pathan to represent India together.
