The manual scoreboard at the Feroz Shah Kotla made some major blunders on Wednesday when India and Australia locked horns for the decider ODI. It displayed incorrect spellings of Australian players along with an incorrect playing XI.

The name of seamer Pat Cummins, who returned in the squad, was misspelt as ‘Commins’ while Glen Maxwell’s name was written as ‘Mexwell’. Moreover, Marcus Stoinis, Ashton Turner and Jhye Richardson, who all were in the playing XI, were replaced with D'Arcy Short, Andrew Tye and Jason Behrendorff.

And before anyone could notice, Cricket Australia (CA) spotted the mistake and took a jibe by posting the picture of the scoreboard on their official Twitter handle. Wondering about the 'debuting' players, they asked about the identity of two Australia cricketers who were making their debuts in the deciding game.

“Couple new players debuting for the Aussies?” the caption read.
