Clearing all speculations over him being absent from the pre-departure press conference ahead of team departure for the Windies tour, Indian skipper Virat Kohli was very much part of the event at Mumbai and  took some hard hitting questions to speak his mind in answering them.

When asked about rumored reports of rift between him and Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli said that the atmosphere in the team is amazing and he was absolutely baffled to read about bizarre reports pointed to his rift with Rohit Sharma.  He expressed shock over certain elements creating this misunderstanding between him and his deputy outside the field.

Kohli said that both he and Rohit were senior players and he has always been an ardent admirer of Rohit's skill and achievements, and publicly expressed the same. People are creating lies and fantasies about the dressing room. It is disrespectful.

"I have seen this for too long now. Bringing personal lives into the picture. It's disrespectful after a moment. There is nothing between me and Rohit," kohli said.

It all started when news was leaked in the media that a senior player had got his wife to stay with him for longer than the 'family clause' of the BCCI allows and that too without the permission of the captain and coach.

Virat Kohli felt with ICC T20I World Cup scheduled next year, the focus is bound to shift to T20Is. However, the World Test Championship will keep focus on Test cricket. With team playing in all 3 formats, focus will shift quite rapidly.

Responding to a question on the World Test Championships, Kohli said that WTC will provide more exposure to Test cricket. It will be challenging and exciting for the players and they will learn from the experience. Nothing comes above Test cricket for him.
