With the series on the line for Team India, South Africa won the toss and invited the Men in Blue to bat first in the third T20I in Johannesburg. The star of the bat for the touring contingent was captain Suryakumar Yadav who scored a sensational hundred and guided India to 201/7. Other than Suryakumar's 100 off 56 deliveries, Yashasvi Jaiswal too shone with the bat and made 60 off 41.
However, there was one major talking point from India's innings other than the innings of Suryakumar and Jaiswal and it was the manner in which Jitesh Sharma got out. Jitesh got out hit wicket when he went so far back in his crease that his leg disturbed the stumps. The incident happened in the last over of India's innings. While the ball had gone for a boundary but the run did not count as he had already broke the stumps before. Jitesh became the fifth Indian to get run-out.
