Jasprit Bumrah has been announced as the skipper of Cricket Australia's Test Team of the Year 2024, as two Indians make a cut in the all-elusive XI made by the cricket board of the reigning World Test and ODI champions.

The other Indian to feature alongside the legendary Jasprit Bumrah is none other than Yashasvi Jaiswal, as the left-handed batsman was undeniably India's best batsman in Tests for the calendar year of 2024.

In a year where Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma continued their horrific run of form with the bat alongside many experienced batters, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who had just made his debut in 2023, proved to be arguably the biggest find of the Indian Cricket for the next decade.

Jasprit Bumrah ends his 2024 with 71 wickets in 13 matches, and in the process, becoming the fastest Indian pacer to grab 200 Test wickets. What makes his figures even more astonishing is the fact that the Indian pacer scalped his wickets at a highly impressive bowling average of 14.92, a trult remarkable and commendable feat.

Yashasvi Jaiswal's 2024 saw him shatter record books with a series of tons and double tons, various match-winning knocks and ended up scoring 1478 runs in 15 matches.

Here's the complete XI:

  1. Yashasvi Jaiswal (India)

  2. Ben Duckett (England)

  3. Joe Root (England)

  4. Rachin Ravindra (New Zealand)

  5. Harry Brook (England)

  6. Kamindu Mendis (Sri Lanka)

  7. Alex Carey (Australia) (wk)

  8. Matt Henry (New Zealand)

  9. Jasprit Bumrah (India)

  10. Josh Hazlewood (Australia)

  11. Keshav Maharaj (South Africa)

Pat Cummins, Travis Head Miss Out On TOTY 2024 XI

Surprisingly, Australian skipper Pat Cummins and Travis Head have failed to make a cut into the side, despite of their impressive performances in Tests in 2024.

The XI features six different countries, with England dominating the side with 3 players.
