Mumbai Indians pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah set a new record in the Indian Premier League with his gamer changing four-wicket spell against Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2020 Qualifier played at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai on Thursday.

Bumrah, who returned with stellar figures of 4 for 14 runs from his 4 over spell, took his overall wickets tally to 27 dismissals in the ongoing thirteenth edition of the tournament.

Bumrah's staggering tally in IPL 13 happens to be the most wickets taken by Indian seamer in a single edition of the IPL, eclisping Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar's previous best of 26 wickets in the 2018 edition.

With his second 4-wicket haul of the season, Bumrah also became the only bowler this season to take two 4-wicket hauls after his match winning figures of 4 for 20 against the Rajasthan Royals earlier in the season.

"I am okay with not getting wickets and winning the tournament. I don't look at the wickets. I have been given a role, and I try to execute that.

"Early wickets are important especially with the dew coming in. I usually don't focus on the end result. Whenever I have tried to focus on the end result, it goes downhill," Bumrah said after picking up the Player of the Match award.
