Haunted by ‘Mankading’ incident in their opening game, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) would look to resurrect their fortunes in Friday's IPL clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium is all set to buzz with crowd cheering as Sunrisers Hyderabad gear up for their first home game of this season against the Royals.

When it comes to playing at Hyderabad, SRH have the minor advantage winning 2 off the 3 clashes against RR. Not only that, SRH have an enviable 11-3 win record at home since IPL 2017 but Rajasthan will have to try their best to ensure that their campaign remains on track.

At the pitch at Rajiv Gandhi international stadium, teams generally like to chase as 33 out of 56 games have been won while batting second or chasing.

Coming to the toss, Rahane-led Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to bat first.

Toss winning skipper Rahane decided going in with the same combination as he said,” We're looking to bat first. I don;t know how this wicket will behave but I am sure that the wicket won't change much in the 40 overs, so looking to put runs and then defend.”

Williamson, who wasn't available in the first game due to injury is fit for today's game and lead SRH. SRH decided to rest Shakib and Hooda as Williamson and Shabaz come in.

“We would'vs liked to bat first as well. It is important that we do it well with the ball early now. It looks like a good surface and it is important that we adapt with the ball first up and it's all about executing our skills and our plans. The injury recovery is coming along nicely. Every side enjoys playing at their homeground in front of a wonderful crowd.” Williamson said.

The battle will be also between two Aussies - David Warner and Steven Smith .While Warner scored an unbeaten 85 in his opening game, Smith dint have successful outing, only scoring 20 against Punjab.

Just like Rajasthan (lost to KXIP by 14 runs), Sunrisers too didn't have a dream start to their campaign, losing by six wickets to Kolkata Knight Riders. While Williamson-led Sunrisers' batting looks solid, the death bowling performance might spoil their chances against SRH as it did against KKR.
