"Umpires should keep their eyes open, this is not club cricket," said Kohli after losing the game to MI by 6 runs
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) needed 22 off the last 12 balls but they lost the game to Mumbai Indians (MI) by just 6 runs on Thursday. Courtesy poor umpiring as the final delivery of the match bowled by Lasith Malinga turned out to be a 'no-ball' and it went unnoticed by umpire S Ravi. The aftermath of this entire episode left losing skipper Virat Kohli fuming. He lashed out on the umpires and made his displeasure known at the end of the game, saying that the teams were not playing club cricket and the officials needed to be more careful. Kohli’s reaction was backed the rival skipper, Rohit Sharma who echoed his sentiments and stated that these kinds of mistakes should be avoided. The game though will be remembered for umpire S. Ravi's failure to spot the no-ball off the last ball of the RCB innings.
