With the return of skipper MS Dhoni, the Chennai Super Kings will look forward to returning on winnings ways when they lock horns with the first-ranked Delhi Capitals on Wednesday night. An interesting contest is on the cards between two current top teams and a win for either side will help it consolidate its position and ultimately could have a bearing on where it finishes in the final standings.

With 16 points from 12 games, CSK are placed at the second position on the points table. On the other hand, Delhi would be high on confidence having posted four wins in their last five matches.

Toss Update:

Delhi have won the toss and they will be bowling first. They have made a couple of changes – Kagiso Rabada has some back issue and Ishant Sharma has an ankle niggle. They both have been replaced by Jagadeesha Suchith and Trent Boult.

“We're bowling first. Hoping for dew in the second innings. The wicket looks dry so we have got three spinners in our side too,” said Shreyas Iyer at the toss.

MS Dhoni is fit to play and so are Ravindra Jadeja and Faf du Plessis. They return after missing the previous encounter against Mumbai Indians and Dhruv Shorey, Mitchell Santner and Murali Vijay.

“Less dew today, because of the cloud cover. When you've played enough international cricket it's never 100%. You're always a little less than that. We were looking to bat first anyway. It's a bit of a worry for the opposition because I'll be coughing at them,” said Dhoni at the toss.
