The debutant, etched his name on the IPL history books by becoming the first player to claim a hat trick on debut.
Tye bowled the most sensational last over. He picked up Manoj Tiwary (31), Ankit Sharma (25) and Shardul thakur (0) off first three deliveries and gave away only 4 runs to restrict Rising Pune Supergiant to 171/8
The fast bowler, known for his slower deliveries, returned with figures of 5 for 15 – the best by a debutant in the history of IPL.
Earlier in the day, West Indian leg spinner Samue Badree secure the first hattrick of IPL 10 against Mumbai Indians in Bangalore.
Badree first got Parthiv caught at short cover, then got a lucky break in getting McClaneghan caught off a full toss and finally he deceived out of form Rohit Sharma with a perfect wrong one. It was also the first maiden over of IPL 10.
The 36-year-old replaced Shane Watson and made an immediate impact in his first game.
