Southampton: Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) has announced India's 15-member squad for the World Test Championship Final. The 15-man squad misses some big names like KL Rahul, Axar Patel, SHardul Thakur and Mayank Agarwal.

The final will be played at Southampton in England from June 18. From what it looks like, India will go in with six batsmen and five bowlers as Indian spinners are good batsmen and can act as all-rounders. This will give Virat Kohli, a cushion of playing 5 specialist bowlers. But a lot depends on the weather forecast too. If it rains heavily, Virat might have to go with four specialist pacers.

Here is team India's squad for the Final:

India Squad for WTC Final: Virat Kohli (Captain), Ajinkya Rahane (vice-captain), Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), R. Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Wriddhiman Saha

It was being widely reported that India might pick 2 spinners and 3 pacers for the WTC final, but with the forecast news coming in, India might reconsider playing 2 spinners on a damp wicket. Dryness of the pitch would have helped Indian spinners, but the news of downpour might lead to India picking Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Siraj for the WTC FInal.
