India have breached the 50-run mark in just 3 overs in the India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. Captain Rohit Sharma became only the fourth batter to score sixes off his first two balls in Test innings as India breached the 50-run mark in just three overs, the fastest-ever that mark has ever been breached in the history of cricket. At the end of 3 overs, India were 51/0 with Rohit batting on 19* off 6 and Yashasvi scoring 30* from 13 deliveries. Mehidy Hasan Miraz Removes Rohit Sharma

While India did get past the 50-run mark in the third over, captain Rohit Sharma fell in the fouth over, falling to Mehidy Hasan Miraz. The spinner rattled the stumps with Rohit having survived an LBW call the ball before, by making use of a DRS referral. However, he departed on the very next ball.

Rohit was replaced by Shubman Gill and has continued to bat at the same tempo as India are looking to push for a result in the Kanpur Test. A win would help India get 8 points in the World Test Championships (WTC) points table while a draw would mean, the hosts having to share points with Bangladesh, something which can cost them a place in the third successive WTC final.
