Weather Report

A Do-or-Die encounter for Team India would mean the hosts would hope that the weather remains clear for a full game of cricket at the.  As per the weather forecast, rains wont play spoilsport as clear skies are predicted over Vishakapatnam during the match hours, with the game slated to begin at 1:30 pm in the afternoon.

The clouds which are hovering around the Vizag skies in the morning are expected to clear off as the day progresses. The conditions could be ideal for cricket as the temperature will hover between the 20-25 degrees mark with the minimum set to be fall to 19 degrees.

While humidity could be a major factor just like Chennai, much to the relief of the players, conditions are expected to be a bit more windy.

Pitch Report

The  pitch at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium has historically played out as a good batting surface and been a high scoring venue.

The batsman can get full value for their strokes as the bounce is even and true.  This could bring a lot of relief to batsmen as they struggled with their timing on the Chennai track where the ball was sticking to the surface and coming on slowly.

It might be a little slow to start with, but the ball will skid onto the bat nicely under lights as the dew is likely to play a big role again. With dew being a crucial factor in gripping the ball, both the teams would want to bat second.
