The Indian team will kick start their tour of the West Indies with the first of the 3-match T20 match series to be played at Lauderhill in Florida later in the evening. The match is scheduled to begin at 8:00 pm (IST).


While the first two T20 matches are being played at Lauderhill in Florida, the teams will head to Guyana to play the third and final game on August 6.


India will aim to continue their winning streak against the Windies as they last inflicted a 3-0 whitewash against them in the last series played between the two teams in November 2018. Windies have a superior win record against the Indians at home, winning 2 out of the 3 T20s played on Caribbean soil.


 The series will be the first international assignment for both the teams after the culmination of the 2019 ICC World Cup. While India will be led by Virat Kohli, the mantle of the Windies team is in the hands of Carlos Brathwaite.


West Indies would be bolstered by the return of two of their key T20 stalwarts- Keiron Pollard and Sunil Narine, both of whom make it back to the Windies team after a relatively long haitus.
