India open their 3-match T20 international series campaign against Sri Lanka with the first encounter to be played at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati later on Sunday evening. The match will commence at 7 pm (IST).


The 'Men in Blue' will look to continue their good form at home after beating the Windies in a hard fought series in Dec 2019. Meanwhile Sri Lanka would look to end India's long term dominance over them in T20Is, which has seen them losing five games on the trot.

While India will be led by their seasoned skipper Virat Kohli, the visitors will be captained by veteran seamer Lasith Malinga. Both the teams have fielded a lot of youngster into their squad with an aim to get their best playing eleven in place for the World T20Is slated to be played in Australia later this year.
