New Delhi: India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been selected by the All-India Senior Selection Committee for India's ODI team for the upcoming Mastercard 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. "The All-India Senior Selection Committee has included pacer Jasprit Bumrah in India’s ODI squad for the upcoming Mastercard 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka," said the BCCI in a statement.






"The pacer has undergone rehabilitation and has been declared fit by the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He will be joining the Team India ODI squad soon," BCCI added.


Since September 2022, Bumrah has not played cricket and was also ruled out of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup due to a back injury. The pacer has been rehabbed and the National Cricket Academy (NCA) has deemed him fit. Soon, he will join the Team India ODI team.


Earlier last summer, the Indian pacer had experienced the injury during the India tour of England in July and had been out of action for almost two months.


Beginning on Tuesday, January 3, the men's cricket team of India will play their first bilateral series against Sri Lanka; three T20Is and the same number of ODIs.


Rohit Sharma will be the captian of the 17-man ODI squad, and Hardik Pandya, who will lead the men in blue in the T20Is, has been appointed as his deputy-in-chief.
