Team India started its T20 World Cup campaign with a match against Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday. Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Indian bowlers started off well and scalped early wickets. Bhuvneshwar Kumar started the proceedings and gave away just one run in the first over. Continuing the momentum, Arshdeep Singh dismissed Pakistan's most dependable and in-form batter, Babar Azam, for a golden duck in just the second over.

This is the very first-time Arshdeep is playing in the T20 World Cup and taking the wicket of Babar is a huge feat. It was a good-length delivery and the Pakistan skipper ended up taking on his pads. The Punjab-based bowler also sent Mohammed Rizwan to the pavilion. It was a surprise short pitch delivery and Rizwan miscued it.

It was just a matter of time when in the Asia Cup, the left-arm pacer was criticized when he played the match against Pakistan. He dropped an easy catch of Asif Ali and people started making fun of him. In the Ongoing match, Arshdeep is giving a statement as to why he is rated so highly.  The wicket of Babar set the tone for the Indian team and as of now, the Punjab-based bowler has picked up three wickets.
