In-form opener KL Rahul showed tremendous calm and composure to help India clinch a second straight Super Over contest against the Kiwis in the 4th T2O and Wellington and help the visitors take a 4-0 lead in the 5-match series.


It was Super Over Time yet again at Wellington and the Indian batting duo of KL Rahul and Virat Kohli held their nerves to chase down 14 runs and deny New Zealand their first win in the series. After Kiwis put up 13 on the board in their stipulated Super Over against Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian were a step up in their gear to chase down the target.

New Zealand opener Colin Munro and wicket-keeper Tim Siefert struck breezy half tons to help New Zealand level India's 165-run total and enforce a Super Over for the second consecutive time in the series.

Chasing a challenging 166-run target, New Zealand lost Martin Guptill early in their innings with Jasprit Bumrah scalping the opener for 4. Colin Munro then steadied the Kiwi innings with wicket-keeper batsman Tim Siefert with a 70-run partnership.

Munro was the aggressor in the partnership bringing up his fifty. Just as when Munro was looking to race away with the chase, Virat Kohli combined with Shardul Thakur to produce a brilliant run-out to dismiss Munro.Tom Seifert then provided the punch to the Kiwis chase with a couple of boundaries to register a quick-fire half ton. Siefert stitched a good partnership with Ross Taylor to help the Kiwis level India's score.
