India dismissed New Zealand for 174 runs in the third innings of the ongoing India vs New Zealand 3rd Test at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Day 3 (November 3) of the match. Consequently, India will need 147 runs in the fourth innings of the IND vs NZ Test to win the series finale after having already lost the series as New Zealand won the first two Test matches. Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja bagged a 10-fer in the match as he claimed five wickets in both the innings.


Resuming from the overnight score of 171-9, New Zealand tailenders William ORourke and Ajaz Patel could only last for 14 balls and score three runs as Jadeja claimed his fifth wicket in the innings and 10th wicket in the match by dismissing Ajaz Patel.

New Zealand's Will Young was the sole half-centurion for the Black Caps as he scored a 51-run knock off 100 balls. Glenn Phillips scored a quick 14-all 26 runs and helped the visitors to get closer to the 150-run lead. However, Jadeja with help of Ravichandran Ashwin helped India bundle the Kiwis out for 174 runs as they both bagged eight wickets combined. Jadeja finished with the figures of 10-120, his second best in Tests.






Earlier in the match, New Zealand batted first and scored 235 runs in the first innings, helped by Daryl Mitchell's 82-run knock and Will Young's 71-run knock.


India responded with 263 runs in the second innings of the IND vs NZ Test as Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant each made a half-century. Gill missed out on his 6th Test hundred as he was dismissed by Ajaz Patel for the score of 90.
