While it was certainly advantage to England when India only managed to post 229/8 in their 50 overs in their World Cup 2023 faceoff in Lucknow, Indian bowlers led by Mohammed Shami produced a superb performance to bowl England out for 129 as India registered a win by 100 runs. During India's innnings while Barmy Army, a group and page of England cricket supporters, had tried to troll Virat Kohli who got out for a duck, India's performance on the field meant Bharat Army, the group of  Indian fans, ultimately had the last laugh.

Notably, Barmy Army had shared a picture of Kohli as a duck when he got without scoring off 9 balls but with Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Mark Wood all three getting out for ducks and the Three Lions bundling out for 129, The Bharat Army initially replied with a similar image of Root and ultimately depicted all the three players as ducks as India remained the only unbeaten team in the tournament.

Take a look at that exchange between the two fan clubs here:

'We Were 30 Runs Short With The Bat,' Admits Rohit Sharma After IND vs ENG Fixture "I think this was a game where we showed a lot of character. All the experienced players stood up at the right time and won us the game. Looking at how the tournament has gone for us, batting second in the first five games and then we had to bat first here, we were challenged," India captain Rohit, who was adjudged the Player Of the match for his 87 off 101, said after the toss.

"We knew the pitch had something in it and we had the experience in our bowling, so we wanted to get to a decent total. We were not great with the bat, losing three wickets in the first powerplay isn't the ideal situation. You have to then create a long partnership, which we did. But then we just lost wickets, including mine. Looking at the overall picture, I thought we were 30 runs short," the 36-year-old added.
