Team India will finally be back on the cricket field after over a month-long break. While Rohit Sharma & Co. would be raring to go as they take on Bangladesh in the 1st Test of the two-match series at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Thursday (September 19). However, the Indian team management would also have to put their thinking caps on when they sit out to decide India's Playing 11 for the series opener.


A report carried by news agency PTI suggests that India will go ahead with a 3-2 combination in their bowling attack which means they have will have three spinners and two pacers in their lineup. While the three spinners that Rohit and Gautam Gambhir-led management is looking at are Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav, the two speedsters are Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj.

Axar Patel Likely To Be Benched In IND vs BAN 1st Test


If the report is to be believed, despite being in very good form across the three formats and being one of India's heroes in their victorious T20 World Cup 2024 heroes, Axar Patel will have to warm the benches.
