History was scripted on Friday as team India played their first-ever pink-ball Test at the iconic Eden Gardens. Their outing turned out to be top-notch as the pace trio of Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav exposed the Bangladesh batting, bundling them up to a paltry 106-run total.


It was the second time in a row that Bangla batters couldn’t withstand the Indian attack and disappointed their fans who gathered in large numbers at Eden. After the day’s play, coach Russell Domingo admitted that there was a huge gulf in class between both teams and it will take more than just practice for them to match the No. 1 Test side.

Asked if Bangladesh's decision to bat first was right, the coach said,

Domingo also felt that the day-night Tests are not as exciting as day matches.

The South African added that the game ending after 8 pm is past his bedtime.
