After sensational hundreds from Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill, India have declarerd their second innings at 287/4, setting Bangladesh a target of 515 to win in Chennai. India had posted 376 in the first innings before bowling out Bangladesh for 149.

While India look in firm control of the proceedings in the ongoing Test, things were pretty different when they were invited to bowl first by Bangladesh and reduced to 144/6 at one stage. It required a mammoth rescue effort from Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja to take India to a position where they find themselves in. Ashwin scored a Test centurry at home while Jadeja scored 86 as the duo put on a record-shattering 199-runs stand for the seventh wicket.
